FAQ's
General Product Questions
Where Floor Projector Screen Paint can be used?
Floor Projector Screen Paint is a solution for users looking to create a projection screen on floors. Specially developed to be highly durable to foot traffic and light industrial equipment such as forklifts.
Application & Usage
What surfaces can Floor Projector Screen Paint be applied to?
Floor Projector Screen Paint is suitable for use on concrete, wood, tiles or any smooth surface. It can also be applied to fabrics and is suitable for painting or refurbishing old screens, but not suitable for roll-up screens.
What lighting conditions work best with Floor Projector Screen Paint?
Floor Projector Screen Paint performs best in normal to high levels of ambient light.
Is Floor Projection Screen Paint anti-slip?
Floor Projector Screen Paint can be made anti-slip by adding a fine aggregate to the paint. It can also be applied over existing floor paint or bare concrete. For new concrete, acid washing is recommended beforehand.
What personal protective equipment should I use when painting?
Use the gloves supplied in the kit while applying Floor Projector Screen Paint. In addition, safety glasses should be worn. As with any painting process, ensure the room is ventilated.
Surface Prep & Priming
Do I need to prime the surface before applying Floor Projector Screen Paint?
No priming is required.
Cleaning & Maintenance
How can I clean my Floor Projector Screen Paint?
Your surface can be wiped clean with warm soapy water and mild detergents. You may also clean with stronger cleaning chemicals to remove specific traffic marks but do not leave harsh chemicals on the surface for longer than required.
How do I remove the floor projector screen paint from my skin?
Just rinse skin with warm soapy water.
What do I do if I spill the floor projector screen paint?
Clean up any spills with water immediately.
Functionality & Performance
Does the Floor Projector Screen Paint work well with both 2D and 3D Projectors?
Yes, floor projector screen paint is compatible with both 2D and 3D projectors, ensuring optimal performance regardless of the projection mode. When projecting a 3D image onto the paint, it seamlessly delivers the intended effect, creating an immersive viewing experience when paired with 3D glasses.
What is gain value, and why is it important for projector screens?
Projector screen gain measures how effectively a screen reflects projected light compared to a standard matt white screen with a gain of 1.0. It affects both image brightness and viewing angles. Higher gain produces a brighter image but a narrower viewing angle, while lower gain offers wider viewing angles with reduced brightness. Choosing the right gain helps optimise image quality based on your projector, room lighting, and viewing environment.
Does a higher gain always mean a better image?
No, a higher gain projector screen doesn't automatically guarantee a better image quality. While it can provide a brighter image from certain angles, it may result in diminished brightness from other perspectives. Higher gain screens typically have a smaller viewing angle.
Safety & Environmental
Is Floor Projector Screen Paint isocyanate free?
Floor Projector Screen Paint is 100% free of Isocyanates. Unlike some poorer quality products on the market we do not use isocyanates in the Floor Projector Screen Paint or any of the products which is a hazardous product and should only be used by trained professionals using rigorous safety procedures.
Is Floor Projector Screen Paint flammable?
Floor Projector Screen Paint is not flammable and is certified for fire performance making it certified for use in schools and offices. Floor Projector Screen Paint has a very high flashpoint above 158 degrees fahrenheit.
Is Floor Projector Screen Paint safe, and can it be applied around people?
Yes, Floor Projector Screen Paint is safe to use and can be applied in environments occupied by both adults and children. It is a low VOC, low odor, solvent-free coating that is free from PFOA, PFOS, and isocyanates, helping to maintain a safer indoor environment during and after application.
The product has been independently certified for VOC performance and meets high environmental standards. As with any paint product, we recommend wearing the gloves supplied in the kit during application and following the application instructions provided.
