Fill any cracks and sand the surface smooth before you begin.
Step 2 - Apply 4 coats
Apply 4 coats by roller, allowing each coat to fully dry before the next. Lightly sand between coats.
Step 3 - Apply Top Coat
Paint, wallpaper, or digital print can be applied on top once the magnetic paint is dry for at least 24 hrs.
Step 4 - Ready to Use

Smarter Surfaces Super Magnetic Paint is black in colour due to its magnetic particles.
Are the necessary coats included in each tin of Super Magnetic Paint?
Yes, all the coats required are supplied within the tin. For Super Magnetic Paint, you will require 4 coats of paint.

Can I put any paint colour of my choice on top of Super Magnetic Paint?
Yes, but due to its black colour, more than one coat of colored paint may be needed. We recommend applying a white water-based primer first, especially for lighter shades.

Yes. You can install a wallpaper or digital print of your choice directly over Super Magnetic Paint. We recommend choosing a thin product, as a thicker topcoat may affect magnetic performance.

Simply apply the wall covering of your choice on the surface you have chosen, following the application steps, and pin up your photographs. For best results, we recommend you use neodymium magnets.
How to thin out thick super magnetic paint?
In most cases, super magnetic paint should not need to be thinned. From time to time, during transportation, the super magnetic paint can settle. If you need to thin the paint to help during application, add 5% to 10% water to the tin and stir in thoroughly.
