Transparent Magnetic Whiteboard Paint does not require professional installation.
Step 1 - Surface Prep
Fill cracks and holes with filler, then sand the surface smooth before application.
Step 2 - Apply Magnetic Paint
Apply 3 coats of Magnetic Paint (leaving 2 hrs drying time per coat). For stronger magnetic hold, apply additional coats.
Step 3 - Prime Surface
Apply 2–3 coats of water-based primer over magnetic paint. Let it dry 2–4 hours between coats and 12 hours after the final coat.
Step 4 - Apply Topcoat
If you need a specific colour, apply it first, then apply Clear Whiteboard Paint within 1 hour after you mix part A and B.

Can I use permanent markers to clear the magnetic whiteboard paint surface?
No, like any regular whiteboard, Magnetic Whiteboard Paint Clear is not compatible with permanent markers. If permanent markers are used on transparent dry erase magnetic paint, we advise using our Permanent Ink Remover to remove.

No, a primer is not typically required for Magnetic Whiteboard Paint Clear. However, if applying the first coat (which is the magnetic paint) to an absorbent surface, you can apply one coat of White Primer to seal the surface or untreated surface.

Yes, ensure that the surface is smooth before application, fill any holes with filler, and first apply primer, then apply magnetic paint. Sand lightly after each coat of primer and magnetic paint. Lastly, apply Clear Whiteboard Paint.
